The Health Group within Leidos has a career opportunity for an experienced Computer Systems Analyst to support and contribute to work on a dynamic Agile team. The work will support the Leidos Army Medical Operations Data Systems (MODS) program. The successful candidate will be part of an Agile team that creates solutions and develops improvements for government customers via the maintenance of software applications through stakeholder interaction, requirements gathering, risk identification and management, and process/product improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Advise the Project Lead on best courses of action and risks related to the development/maintenance of assigned applications.
Lead/Work on one or more Agile software development teams and with customers to design/update user interfaces, automate/manage workflows, design/update data models, and obtain, translate, or address customer requirements.
Oversee the day-to-day functional support to a web-based application to include responding to help desk tickets, briefing stakeholders, and identifying/managing risks.
Conduct Agile Ceremonies to include Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Review.
Manage a product and sprint backlog.
Write and execute basic queries in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
Respond to stakeholder inquiries.
Conduct research and design/develop analytic products and system content.
Gather, curate, and document application requirements to include providing functional assessments and input.
Create comprehensive wireframes or detailed screenshots to provide proof of concept to clients and frame of reference to developers.
Adhere to release and configuration management procedures.
Participate in process management, engineering, and improvement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Experience in Agile software development environment and proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of and ability to conduct Agile Ceremonies to include Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Review.
Experience gathering requirements and communicating them to software developers and customers using wireframes or other mock designs.
Experience assisting in the identification and management of risks.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including experience and confidence interacting with high-level clients– i.e., skills in making independent presentations and program/policy recommendations to senior government officials and/or corporate counterparts.
Experience executing business process re-engineering and/or improvement projects.
Experience supporting mission-oriented business functions via research (e.g., data assessments, functional evaluations, gap analyses, etc.).
Functional understanding of relational database design, metadata management techniques, and a working understanding of tools used for database, content, and metadata management a plus.
Microsoft Office Suite experience.
Microsoft SQL Server and Azure DevOps
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical or functional area.
Develops technical or functional solutions that require collaboration with team members, deep analyses and understanding of impact on the end-product or solution.
Responsible for coordinating projects, coaching, and reviewing work of other technical of functional staff.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once and ability to reprioritize projects as necessary.
Ability to work independently on projects and/or collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills working on a customer-focused team environment with ability to communicate frequently and effectively with internal and external customers, including government customers.
Must be a US citizen
Must possess a DoD Public Trust Clearance (IT/ADP II)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of U.S. Army and/or other military readiness applications
Previous functional analyst and/or business systems analyst experience a plus
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
