Leidos is seeking an FPS-117 Radar Engineer with comprehensive knowledge of the FPS-117 radar equipment, hardware and software, operation and maintenance to support the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The FPS-117 Radar Engineer will be part of the Contractor Engineering and Technical Support team in support of a U.S. Air Force Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a one-year assignment with option to renew. Assignment location may be one of seven locations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia per the Performance Work Statement. We are expecting award in July 2023.
The FP-117 Radar Engineer shall perform work that involves applying radar knowledge and technical expertise to support operations, sustainment, maintenance and modifications, including, but not limited to the following:
Supporting the RSAF Officer-in-Charge by:
Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
Continuously monitoring of all RSAF training in his specialty and recommending improvements.
Training RSAF Engineering Officers and Warrant Officers in practical and theory.
Producing adequate engineering training material in his specialty.
Performing intermediate level maintenance in his specialty as required.
Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote radar sites to perform specialized maintenance, trouble shooting, and training.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Radar Technology and 12 years’ experience; 4 additional years of related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
12 - 15 years’ experience on a wide variety of surveillance radars including FPS-117.
Specialized training and certification on the FPS-117 radar system.
Experience with Radars to include Air Defense Ground Radar, Primary/Secondary, all aspects of 3-dimensional Radar plot extractors, Height Computers, and interface equipment.
Experience with interfacing radars in an air defense network and the siting of radars to ensure established minimum coverage criteria can be met.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be able to demonstrate past examples of cultural adaptability and ability to establish a trusted professional relationship with an international customer.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
