Description
The Senior Domain Administrator candidate should have direct experience supporting Active Directory (AD) operations and engineering. The Senior Domain Administrator is regarded as a SME position that has responsibility for the design and configuration of AD in a Windows Server Environment. Please see the requirements below. The candidate's resume must show the demonstrated experience listed below and will require one of the certs listed as well. There is no opportunity for a waiver on the cert.
Necessary for Successful Execution:
Experience working in an enterprise distributed computing environment
This includes:
A robust understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft OS technologies in clouding AD Forests, Domain, Trusts, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units
Support, design, and architect in an Active Directory services infrastructure
Desired Experience:
Candidate should have at least a subset (3-4) of experience listed below:
Proven expertise in designing and architecting domain consolidation projects
Design and architect a global Active Directory infrastructure, including design and implementation of group policy
Utilize logical problem solving to find relative solutions to problems in the problem on a broad scale
Plan and execute Active Directory Domain level upgrades
Plan and design group policy objects as requested to ensure compliance of Organizations policies for servers and user end point devices
Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory, GPO, Active Directory Federated services, and password/identity management systems
Assist in management and support DNS systems. Assist in management and support of DHCP architecture and scoping
Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and other technical teams to collect business and technical requirements and design/deliver enterprise level solutions
Create and update technical documentation of operating procedures as needed
Serve as a technical expert for Tier 0/1/2 support groups
Oversee the architecture and design of the global backups and recovery of Active Directory
Collaborate and communicate with other Senior Personnel, internal Organization and vendor partners
Own and lead discussions in technical information technology solutions implementations, upgrades, enhancements and conversions. Recommends solutions as appropriate
Support IT goals and objectives
Provide problem solving leadership based on experience with the technology
Act as a member of the Windows Active Directory Domain Administrator team in providing timely and efficient support to assigned operations; coordinate day to day operations, apply security patches/fixes and anti-virus updates
Create and implement domain level security policies such authentication mechanisms, password policies and rules, IPSEC policies etc
Review domain level rights and privileges and perform changes to the same as appropriate
Collaborate in assessing current and expected Windows infrastructure needs, configuration, maintenance, optimization and documentation of Windows infrastructure
Follow and apply configuration and security standards and policies within a defined change management process
Assist with implementing solutions for hardware and software. Implement common preventive maintenance practices for hardware and software
Ensure that system improvements and changes are implemented correctly and completely, and monitor all effects of the modifications
Establish/recommend policies on system use and services
Perform common administrative tasks
Must possess proven experience working with large enterprise distributed computing environment. These experiences should include
Directory services infrastructure architect/design/support
Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domain, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organization Units
Qualifications: Candidate shall possess Fifteen (15) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Must have TS/SCI w/Poly
Candidate shall currently possess and maintain one of the following certifications:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert-Server (MSCE-Serv) Server Infrastructure or;
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert-Server (MSCE-Serv) Desktop Infrastructure or;
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert-Server (MSCE-Serv) Messaging or;
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert-Server (MSCE-Serv) Communication or;
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert-Server (MSCE-Serv) SharePoint or;
Microsoft Certified IT Professional - Windows Server (MCITP – Serv) Administrator on Windows Server 8
Microsoft Certified IT Professional - Windows Server (MCITP – Serv) Virtualization Administrator on Windows Server 8 or;
Microsoft Certified IT Professional - MS Exchange Server (MCITP-EXG) Enterprise Messaging Admin on Exchange 2010 or;
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or;
Linux Professional Institute -Level 2 (LPI-2) or:
Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or;
Sun Certified Systems Administrator (SCSA) or;
VMWare Certified Professional (Vsphere 5) (VCP5) or;
IBM CASA Lotus Notes/Domino (LND) or;
Computer Technology Industry Association - Storage + (Storage +)
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $152,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
