Program Summary
Leidos is a preferred subcontractor on a large, multi-year contract that develops, integrates deploys, and sustains large collection systems. The work is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. We provide exceptional service to our customer in an area in which we have deep incumbent knowledge.
Significant requirements include Mission Management, Operations, and Sustainment activities. The team will provide 24x7x365 support to multiple Operations Teams and will feature 1st/2nd/3rd Party Partner Engagement.
Job Summary
Under this TTO, the System Engineer (SE) shall provide "hands-on" system engineering support for the design, integration, documentation, training, sustainment, and deployments for BLUEANVIL. Specific tasks will be performed in compliance with program architecture.
The SE analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to design, develop, deploy, and maintain back-end systems; analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities; guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. The SE provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology; incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations; performs software installation, virtualization, upgrades, and general maintenance; develops tailored dataflow per system concept of operations as well as technical documentation, architecture, and system design. The SE guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plan and interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. The SE will brief program details and updates to government and contractor stakeholders, and has ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. The SE communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Seven (7) years experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Five (5) years of SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 2 years (within the last 5 years) of that experience involve 4 skills from the following list:
Signal conditioning,
Telephony Switching System,
Communications Systems,
TDM/PCM Multiplexing/Modulation/Switching Systems,
Packet Switching System,
Advanced protocols.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Linux and virtualization knowledge
Experience in the administration and use of at least one of the following:
Xkeyscore,
Lopers
NiagaraFiles/dataflow
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
