The Enterprise and Cyber Solutions (E&CS) Operation within Leidos’ Defense Group has an opening for a Jr System Administration position supporting DISA's GIG Service Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract in Scott AFB, IL. The System Administrator is responsible for protecting DISA’s information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording and destruction.
This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.
You must hold an active Secret Clearance to begin work on this program and must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Clearance per customer requirement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate must be able to work independently to maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators and external agencies.
Duties include setting up administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.
Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
Provides support on a M-F business hours schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by mission or emergency situations.
System monitoring using installed tools as well as external tools.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 2 years of overall related experience with a Windows or Linux server environment (e.g. 2008r2 and 2012r2). Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
Remote Desktop Services (Login and Security).
Minimum Secret security clearance is required for this position.
Currently possess DoD 8750 certification e.g. Security+.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy.
ITIL v3 Foundation certified.
Experience working with virtual environments.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
