In this Senior Software Systems Engineer role you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. In this role you will be responsible for hardware and software integration, Infrastructure and provisioning. In addition to Python and possibly Java, other tools such as Ansible CM, Kubernetes, Cloud Technologies, Rancher, Containers will be used.

The Challenge:
- Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
- Resolve software problem reports. Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
What Sets You Apart:
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Experience with hardware and software integration, Infrastructure and provisioning
- Experience with Ansible CM, Kubernetes, Cloud Technologies, Rancher, Containers as a service (Caas)
You Might Also Have:
- Experience with JavaScript Frameworks and tools such as ExtJS, Angular, React, and NPM.
- Experience with Oracle or other relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Experience using version control (Git preferred).
- Perform full lifecycle support to the customer on complex data systems and networks.
- Provide solutions to the customer applying expertise with systems engineering and networks/components to support.
- Provide technical guidance to the customer in relation to SIGINT systems.
- LINUX or UNIX administration/maintenance experience
- Some knowledge of SIGINT systems and dataflows
- Ability to perform in a team environment.
- Candidates possessing system administration and/or network engineering backgrounds will be considered if they have the above skillset.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $213,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
