The Aerospace, Defense and Civil Operation within the Dynetics Group has an immediate opening for a Vice President, Division Manager for the Threat Exploitation & Spectrum Warfare Division. Dynetics/Leidos is looking for a self-motivated and highly organized leader capable of overseeing the TESW Division, consisting of approximately 300 employees, $160M annual revenue, execution of 120+ programs, and conduct of business capture activities to sustain year-over-year growth goals. This division is a multidisciplinary engineering team built to address diverse technical challenges for multiple Government organizations and their partners in areas such as threat systems analysis, HW/SW prototyping and production, cyber and electromagnetic activities, and testing & evaluation – across the land, sea, air, space, and cyber domains. The work content spans across all technology readiness levels from science and technology research and development to system integration and test on programs of record.
Responsibilities: Managing the TESW Division's contracts, people, customer satisfaction, and financial goals. Duties include establishing budgets, managing relations between the client and the organization, and coordinating business development opportunities and strategies. Employees in this sub family may administer the organization's policies through subordinate managers.
Impact: Establishes and implements tactical and operational plans for the department or families with significant impact on the achievement of corporate functional results. Focus is on short-to mid-term strategies (e.g., 3 years or less) to achieve functional results.
Complexity: Problems and issues faced are complex and involve limited information. Conducts extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems. Problems are typically difficult, and complex. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple functions, large projects/programs.
Communication: Communicates with parties within and outside of own project/family, and has responsibility for communicating with diverse parties external to the organization. Negotiates and influences others to understand and accept new concepts, practices and approaches. Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization. May conduct briefings with senior leaders on the project or in the job function.
Leadership & Talent Management: Manages a job function which includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors. Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for function/families to ensure efficient use of resources. Typically has hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority within own area, in accordance with organizational guidelines.
Knowledge: Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-unit project or program teams or manage across multiple functions. Typically has mastery within a specific technical or professional area or broad expertise across multiple related disciplines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Scope of responsibility includes leadership with a commitment to developing, engaging and retaining a high-performing team; collaboration across organizations; integrated business strategy development that aligns to the Aerospace Defense & Civil Operation and Dynetics Group strategy; program performance oversight, IR&D and B&P investments, and nurturing of all customer relationships.
The Division Manager must be able to monitor, forecast, and meet annual business plan financial targets, growth objectives and technical performance; identify, plan and execute business development strategies; lead capture and proposal activities; and provide pipe¬line development for top-line growth aligned with Operation and Group strategic plans.
Oversee development of threat system analysis and exploitation including radar systems, missile systems, and space systems. Lead development of capabilities to dominate the electromagnetic spectrum while denying the enemy access to it with a focus on advancement of electronic attack, electronic protection, electronic support, command and control, and resource management. Relevant technologies include high-performance signal processing for radars, RF sensors and communications, hardware development including threat system emulation systems, software development for mission system, and resiliency and exploitation of cyber physical systems.
Guide the division in developing innovations and provide TESW thought leadership with entrepreneurial mindset to work with our existing and new clients, developing and leading advanced solutions for to emerging threats.
Provide leadership to senior staff who deliver high end capabilities, services, and solutions in threat systems analysis/exploitation and spectrum warfare.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering or math with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in program management, business management, engineering and business development required.
Candidate must possess a minimum of eight (8) years of team leadership experience, working with a distributed organization, over multiple time zones and a demonstrated record of leading and managing an organization or commercial company. (Military service will be considered as relevant to education and overall experience.)
A minimum of ten years (10) experience managing one or more program(s) of high complexity providing complete cost, performance and schedule oversight.
This position requires extensive technical and customer knowledge for DoD/IC customers and missions in the scientific and technical intelligence, electronic warfare, cyber, and test & evaluation communities.
Qualified candidates will have proven experience managing TESW programs, managing extremely technical senior staff as well as experience building strategic relationships with relevant customer organizations such as DIA MSIC, NGIC, NASIC, Army, and Air Force.
Must have experience growing and supporting operations to include managing dispersed employees working in multiple US based locations.
The candidate must have direct experience working in a classified environment.
Demonstrated and consistent success in achieving or exceeding financial goals, revenue and profit growth, and market expansion with the communicative ability to engage new customers and present technical solutions to complex problems.
Program management skills, experience supporting a variety of customers, and managing a diverse technical team.
Ability to manage multiple complex demands concurrently.
Interdisciplinary leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and mentoring senior level staff in a successful organization.
Demonstrated understanding of the methodology necessary to target and capture future work, along with demonstrated results.
Ability to gain internal consensus support; operate independently without supervision or feedback; conceive new and innovative ideas and solutions; predicting potential outcomes, and determine which alternative course of action to follow.
Ability to establish positive, constructive relationships with technical and functional staff, managers, and peers within the Operation, Group, and across Leidos/Dynetics organizations.
Experience in identifying potential partners and working with other team members to develop a total integrated business solution. In depth experience with the operational requirements of customer base.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential and should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
Currently possess an active TS security clearance and SCI eligible.
Technical and customer knowledge in the threat systems exploitation and spectrum warfare field.
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Pay Range:
Pay Range $213,750.00 - $285,000.00 - $356,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
