Leidos Defense Group is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Analyst to join the CM integrated team supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) JRSS (Joint Regional Security Stack) deployment activities at DISA Headquarters, Ft George Meade, MD.  

JRSS is a multi-year, global effort to improve the Department of Defense (DoD) security posture and provide enhanced security capabilities and analytics by centralizing and virtualizing network security into regional stacks rather than locally distributed appliances. The CM Analyst position will be tasked with providing CM support for the hardware and software baseline installed in the JRSS environment on the preproduction and production stacks worldwide. As the Configuration Management Analyst, you will be co-located with the DISA Program Management Office (PMO) and must have extensive knowledge of CM processes which includes providing logistic support for Configuration Management Review Boards, documenting processes, integrating with multiple teams and the customer. Working knowledge of BMC Remedy tool suites is required. The ideal candidate must be ready to learn and work with the team to take immediate control of the CM processes, and embody a flexible, take-charge attitude.

This position will be based onsite in the Ft. Meade/Columbia MD area and some remote work may be allowed. An active Secret security clearance is required prior to start.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as CM Analyst reporting to the Leidos CM Lead

  • Provide intermediate level support for CM and Change Management tasks.

  • Support Hardware and Software engineering processes to establish and maintain consistent baseline

  • Facilitate configuration management boards, generate, and distribute meeting packages 

  • Collect and review comments, generates, and distributes meeting minutes, tracks action items to closure and updates change status in the Change Management tool (Remedy)

  • Review and make recommendation when necessary to improve CM process efficiency

  • Conduct CM audits to ensure all changes are updated and in the correct status.

  • Generate Monthly Metrics

  • A solid understanding of CM hardware and software engineering process for establishing and maintaining of baselines

  • Conduct audits whenever necessary to ensure compliance with CM processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2+ years of related work experience. Specific relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience working in the field of Configuration Management to include Software and Hardware development projects

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills (Will interact with military, other contractors, and U.S Government personnel).

  • Working knowledge of BMC Remedy tool suites is preferred

  • Working knowledge of conducting Physical Configuration Management Audit (FCA) is preferred

  • Active Secret security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DOD 8570 IAT II certification is preferred.

  • ITIL Foundation Certification

Pay Range:

Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00
