Leidos’s Airborne Solutions Operations has an opportunity for a Communications Security (COMSEC) Account Lead located in Bridgewater, Virginia supporting multiple government programs.
The COMSEC Account Lead is responsible for the receipt, transfer, accountability, safeguarding and destruction of COMSEC material. A successful candidate will possess and apply COMSEC experience to key tasks and high impact assignments to ensure accountability and protection of critical material while functioning as a technical expert across multiple projects.
Primary Responsibilities
-Maintaining up-to-date DIAS records to include SF-153 transfers and hand receipts for COMSEC inventory
-Receiving, distributing and safeguarding all COMSEC material allocated to the account
-Ordering, receiving, loading and destruction of keying material and documenting actions via EKMS forms
-Drafting and implementing standard operating procedures for COMSEC activities
-Maintaining controls verifying appropriate security clearances, briefings and accesses prior to issuance of COMSEC material
-Coordinating inoperable equipment disposition requirements
-Reporting COMSEC program updates to higher management and government customers
-Performing administrative inquiries/investigations of COMSEC security incidents and initiating proper reporting
-Assisting users with utilization of secure voice and data communications capabilities
-Administering initial briefings and debriefings to individual users for all COMSEC related subjects
-Establishing a comprehensive account alternate and user training program
-Ensuring installation compliance with COMSEC program requirements
-Completing audits and inventories
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience
-Current Top Secret Clearance eligibility
-Completed IAEC 2112 (NSA COMSEC Managers Course) or able to complete within 6 months of assignment
-Knowledge of current crypto devices/methods as well as COMSEC principles and practices
-Ability to implement processes and maintain administrative documentation
-Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately communicate orally and in writing
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
-Physical ability for reaching, stooping, kneeling, bending and crouching
-Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience with troubleshooting COMSEC equipment
-Knowledgeable of legacy COMSEC equipment
-Understanding of data communication and telecommunication technology
Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
