Description
Leidos is currently seeking a Solar Winds Integrator in support of the AFINC II contract for the highly visible 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) at Montgomery, AL, which provides a world-wide support mission. The 26 NOS is responsible for the intranet support of the entire Air Force network. The mission of the 26 NOS is to operate and defend the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network consisting of the AF Wide Area Network (WAN) routers, AF Network Increment 1 (AFNET Inc 1) Gateways, and the 26 NOS Local Area Network (LAN) assets.
Primary Responsibilities
Overseeing and supporting the implementation, maintenance, and operations of SolarWinds and its supporting infrastructure, integrating with other systems
Maintain dashboard views, custom email reports/alerts, data repositories for each environment specific to the following audiences: Leadership & Executives; Cybersecurity Staff; and System Administrators
Review and comply with periodic updates from AFCYBER-released software patches, updates, and upgrades via Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO), Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNO), Maintenance Tasking Order (MTO) and Notices to Airman (NOTAMs)
Assist AF Cyber personnel with the DISA Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) programs, cybersecurity toolsets, and Operation Order (OPORD)/Fragmentary Order (FRAGO) support
Communicate, manage expectations, eliminate gaps and successfully interact with multiple external and internal 26th NOS team leads, admins, analysts, users, customers, system owners and management
Guide customers in the use of strategic products through education and guidance, first-use and tuning assistance problem solving and critical situation resolution
Candidate will be part of the 26th NOS Enterprise Networking Application Tools (ENAT) team which will be small but highly visible so experience in at least one other monitoring platforms or enterprise tools is helpful if not critical (SolarWinds; CA’s NetQoS NetFlow Analysis; Cacti, F5 Big-IP, Splunk)
Ensure optimal server performance for daily operations and generation of network analysis data from CA NetQoS for customers within and outside of the 26 NOS organization.
Confirms accuracy of messages, alarms, or issues and/or determines severity of problem, issue or alarm.
Initiates resolution as appropriate for enterprise level routers and switches.
Troubleshoots problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures; escalates as appropriate.
Researches issues to determine if problem may be resolved using predefined procedures.
Executes scheduled maintenance routines in accordance with standard procedures.
Identifies issues or problems and resolves as appropriate; escalates when necessary.
Support on-call rotation schedule
Cross train capabilities with other team members
Basic Qualifications
SolarWinds Administrator candidate must have a minimum of 3+ years of SolarWinds Orion products experience and/or other enterprise monitoring tools experience interacting with 3 rd party systems preferably in role(s) such as a system administrator, engineer, developer.
Enterprise monitoring tools and/or NetFlow analysis experience with administration in a large-scale environment preferably overseeing daily, weekly, monthly functions and/or best practices.
Candidate should have 2+ years of years of hands-on experience in: System administrator for SolarWinds nodes, users, , systems, custom views reports, dashboards, Network Atlas maps, simple/complex alerts and 3rd party onboarding o Windows OS systems support with experience in mid-to-large data center environments, patch/update management, basic commands and platform administration skills
Demonstrated advanced diagnostics, analytical, troubleshooting skills
Secret clearance
SEC+ or CISSP certification
One Operating System Certification: CompTIA Linux+,
One Application Certification: SolarWinds Certified Professional: Server & Application Monitor (SAM), Network Configuration Manager (NCM) or Network Performance Monitor (NPM); Security Event Manager (SEM); NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA); Database Performance Analyzer (DPA); Orion Architecture and Design (OAD) | Splunk Core Certified User; Splunk Core Certified Power User; Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User;

Pay Range:
Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
