Leidos is hiring for an Vendor Management Lead/Supply Chain Engineer at Fort Meade, MD. and will support a hybrid (customer site/telework) schedule.
**This position will need to be local for easy commutable distance to the customer site***
Our Opportunity:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. The Emerging Technology Lead will analyze and assess future technology, develop vendor relations with cutting edge technology firms, and develop/integrate technology into the roadmap for our customers.
Clearance Requirement:
•Currently possess or are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
Key Responsibilities:
•Research and identify technology vendors offering automation solutions for customer technical support processes.
•Evaluate and compare vendor offerings based on criteria such as functionality, scalability, integration capabilities, and cost-effectiveness.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, customer support, and business stakeholders, to understand current support processes and identify areas for improvement.
•Conduct market research to stay updated on emerging technologies and trends relevant to customer technical support automation.
•Test and assess technology solutions through proof-of-concept projects or pilot programs.
•Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations on technology solutions that best align with our business requirements.
•Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings, technology evaluations, and recommended strategies.
•Collaborate with vendors and participate in negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
•Stay current with industry standards and best practices in technology research and evaluation.
•Utilize Agile development methodologies to plan and execute technology research and evaluation projects effectively.
•Leverage CRM systems to gather and analyze customer support data, identify patterns, and inform technology selection and implementation decisions.
•Competitive analysis between vendors
•Organize Proof of Concept (POC) with selected vendors
•Develop in coordination with the customer and large team project plans and schedules that incorporate dependencies and critical milestones.
Must have’s:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•Proven experience as a Technology Research Analyst, Technology Analyst, or similar role.
•In-depth knowledge of technology trends, automation solutions, and emerging technologies in the customer support domain.
•Familiarity with customer support processes and best practices.
•Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
•Experience with vendor evaluation and contract negotiation.
•Proficiency in Agile development methodologies.
Nice to have's:
•Master's Degree.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $176,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
