The ideal candidate:
Provides support of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products hosted in the IT infrastructure.
Has strong communication and customer service skills.
Provides support for complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
Works with software vendor to analyze and resolve software installation and on-going support issues.
Recommends software solutions to meet the business needs and objectives of end users as well as IT.
Supports Cyber Security compliance, audit preparation and vulnerability remediation.
Develops and maintains documentation, user manuals, guides and technical information associated with software applications.
Supports recommendations and plans for software development, operations and purchases.
Applies software updates and patches.
Coordinates maintenance activities with Software Owners to satisfy contract requirements.
Works both independently and collaboratively.
Has critical thinking, problem-solving and time management skills.
Performs software analysis to suggest business process improvements and efficiencies.
Ensures all changes to systems are performed in accordance with configuration controls and software quality assurance.
Takes problem reports from the help desk and corrects software problems.
Closes work orders with resolution comments and in a timely manner.
Maintains a safe working environment.
Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality.
Demonstrates the ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university with emphasis in computer science and 2 years of experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance at a Q level.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Demonstrate written and oral communication skills, including communicating and coordinating with other Government contractors and stakeholders
Experience with the implementation, operation and maintenance of COTS software.
Experience with client/server software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
DOE site experience
Active DOE clearance
Related industry-recognized certifications.
Microsoft SharePoint experience
Oracle WebLogic experience
Computer Programming experience
Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,300.00 - $82,000.00 - $110,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
