Leidos is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer/Architect, a significant leadership position as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Columbia, MD or Pensacola, FL.
The Lead Systems Engineer/Architect will coordinate support tasks for all related Systems Engineering/Architecture efforts including, but not limited to the application of Systems Engineering, Requirements Analysis and complex Systems Design in support of the DISA Defensive Cyber Mission.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides supervision up to 12 staff members.
Able to lead across groups
Shows self-initiative / self starter
Familiarity with observability (monitoring, metrics, etc.)
Familiarity with running Linux systems in production
Familiarity with running production workloads in a hybrid AWS/On-prem environment
Familiarity using COTS/Open Source systems observability tools: Prometheus, Data Dog, Nagios, New Relic, SysDig, Zabbix, Elastic, etc
Familiarity with principles of Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, System Immutability
Familiarity with running RedHat Enterprise systems in production in a Federal environment under multiple classification levels
Familiarity using & extending COTS/Open Source systems observability tools to build an observability pipeline: Kafka, Zabbix, Telegraf
Some familiarity with running Windows Server workloads with Linux and Windows Integration
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Federal Government Systems Engineering/Architecture is absolutely necessary.
Prior experience in leading large organizations with complex requirements and needs for Systems Engineering/Architecture efforts.
Leadership of technical teams with similar skills.
MA/MS in a technical discipline with at least 15 years of experience
CISSP or equivalent level certification
Active Secret Clearance Required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Defensive Cyber Systems and Operations
Experience with DISA Defensive Cyber Platforms
Familiarity with SAFe Agile
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
