Leidos is hiring for a UX Expert at Fort Meade, MD. and will support a hybrid (customer site/telework) schedule.
Our Opportunity:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. The UX Expert applies proven human-centered design thinking methodology throughout the innovation, engineering and operations lifecycles. Applicants should be familiar with commercial best practices, such as organizational change management, customer relationship management and strategic communications. The UX Expert will employ user-centric design techniques to empower users by eliminating system friction and maximizing self-service and self-help capabilities.
Clearance Requirement:
•Currently possess or are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance prior to your start date. (US Citizenship required)
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement an End User Experience Workplan that applies comprehensive UX strategies.
•Collaborate with customers to understand their mission and vision as well as end-user requirements and needs.
•Work with internal technical experts and teammates to ensure design-centered changes are incorporated into program technical roadmaps and end-user needs are used to help prioritize work.
•Experience with complete UX project lifecycle from planning the work to capability deployment.
•Assist with cultural change, isolating, identifying, and mitigating potential training needs to foster better use of available capabilities and using Design Thinking to inject experience/human-centered design perspectives into development activities.
•Train customers and users on new capabilities, processes and products.
•Develop interactive customer satisfaction surveys and use feedback to provide continuous system improvements.
Must have’s:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•Demonstrated ability to track metrics and analyze details to understand trends.
•Experience leveraging real-time UX data to optimize the user experience.
•Experience applying UX techniques (e.g., shift-left automation) to reduce touch labor and empower users.
•Experience developing and implementing convenience services, such as “genius” bars, kiosks and deployment lockers.
Nice to have's:
•One or more UX design certifications (e.g., Google UX, NN/g UX, HFI CUA/CXA, CareerFoundry, IDF)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
