More About the Role:
The Defense Group of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a SharePoint Engineer/ Knowledge Manager to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Manama, Bahrain.
NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy; inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
This position is responsible for assisting NAVCENT in developing and implementing a Knowledge Management Program. Individual hired for this role must possess advance knowledge on the development and implementation of SharePoint pages, workflows and backend coding. The role requires a candidate that is creative, customer service oriented, and capable of communicating complex concepts and proposals to senior military leadership.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation, and support of SharePoint.
•Assist leadership in determining technical direction of the organization in respect to SharePoint site design and integration with existing capabilities.
•Build and customize SharePoint Sites and Collections to support NAVCENT’s business processes.
•Develop a common approach to manage and maintain regulatory required information products and generate an authoritative repository for critical documents that enforce change control.
•Develop a migration strategy to move documents from Share Drives to a cloud based SharePoint environment.
•Engineer a solution to migrate data between the SharePoint Environment and other collaboration environments.
•Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new technologies, standard processes, tools and techniques.
•Coach others on the capabilities and use for SharePoint in the organization.
•Identify, develop, update, and enforce standards and procedures.
•Interface with supported groups on technical problems and concerns.
•Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
•Gather requirements, design, architect, plan, and implement system solutions for SharePoint platforms.
•Troubleshoot problems, take appropriate corrective action, and interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support, and troubleshooting functions.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Requires B.S. Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
•US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
•Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.).
•Possess at least one OS certification (MTA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, etc.).
•Extensive experience with SharePoint workflows, creating custom forms, and developing web pages.
•In depth experience designing complex SharePoint Sites.
•Experience working in both standalone and cloud based SharePoint environments.
•Experience creating Business Analytics Reports from SharePoint list data.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Top Secret Clearance.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field.
•ITIL Foundation v3 or v4.
•Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
