More About the Role:
The Defense Group of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Specialist to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Sigonella, Sicily, Italy.
NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy; inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Field Service Support Specialist will perform Tier I/II duties at Naval Air Station Sigonella and supported locations.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Coordinate all maintenance and restoration activities with the TNOSC and LNSC leadership.
•Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures through manual configuration, installation of patches, or the application of scripts to protect data, software, and hardware.
•Participate in technical exchanges as required.
•Provide technical and operational input to Regional Change Review activities.
•Provide continuous support on duty or on-call to respond to Government trouble tickets.
•Perform on-site maintenance, installations/ de-installations, or relocations of workstation equipment and software.
•Configure workstations for proper user access to systems.
•Provide transport of unclassified or classified HW to and from customer locations.
•Provide remote operations and maintenance support for current and future remote locations.
•Deploy and support ONE-Net classified and unclassified data seats, and associated network equipment.
•Assist with One-Net migrations, system refresh, and deployments.
•Develop or modify site administration documentation.
•Configure and deploy printers in accordance with applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires B.S. Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant IT experience. An additional 4 years of previous IT experience can be used in lieu of education.
•US Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
•Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.).
•Possess at least one OS certification (MTA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, etc.).
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Top Secret Clearance.
•MCSA/MCSE.
•ITIL Foundation v3 or v4.
•Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $72,000.00 - $97,200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
