The Defense Group of Leidos has an opportunity for a Systems Administrator located in Fort Meade, MD for our GSM-O contract. This is a dynamic role where you will be responsible for supporting systems administration, supporting engineering, integration, test, and deployment activities for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Additionally, you will provide technical analysis for a wide variety of systems engineering and integration activities, execute moderate complexity studies to evaluate products for compliance with requirements and applicable standards, define preliminary processes to solve complex engineering issues, and work heavily in a team environment.
PLEASE NOTE this position is currently unfunded and expected to start in late 2023.
Primary Responsibilities
As a systems administrator, your will be responsible for Linux and Windows systems and servers providing front-end and back-end application support. You will install, configure and maintain Linux and Windows operating systems including back-end databases and performing scripts. You will perform systems maintenance by reviewing error logs, creating backups, analyzing system performance. Duties include:
- Install and configure software and hardware.
- Manage network servers and technology tools.
- Set up accounts and workstations.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
Basic Qualifications
- Secret Clearance
- IAT level II Certification (i.e. COMPTIA Security)
- BS and 4+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Experience with MySQL Database and Microsoft Active Directory a plus.
- 3 years experience with RedHat / Linux / VMware / Windows server (install, configure, maintain and administer)
- Experience installing and configuring Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
- Works effectively both as a team member and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone, email, and in person with customers and management.
- Experience with creating technical documentation.
- Proven technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability/desire to work in a highly dynamic and challenging environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
- Advanced Linux experience including maintaining, troubleshooting and performing performance analysis and tuning.
- Experience with Network Devices such as Load Balancers, Routers and switches.
- Experience with MySQL Database and Microsoft Active Directory a plus.
- Experience with developing policy in Broadcom Layer7 or other API-based application gateways.
- Experience with cross-domain solutions.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
