The Airborne Solutions Operation within Leidos has a dynamic job opportunity for a Document Control Specialist located in Bridgewater, VA. In this role you will report to the Document Manager and perform document control activities in support of multiple programs. As a part of a multi-organization, geographically dispersed team, you will work with program and project managers, quality, and team leads to support and facilitate the preparation and delivery schedule of submittals while ensuring contractual requirements are met. The position is not open to telework, and you will be onsite in Bridgewater, VA.
THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
Evaluate documentation for compliance with all established templates and document control workflow procedures
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of documentation
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and applicable government standards, including:
Correct data markings
Security labels
Distribution statements
Review contract data and forecast program deliverables (SDRLs/CDRLs)
Prepare/Review/Track/Expedite/Deliver Program Data Deliverables (SDRLs/CDRLs) and other work products
Create and lead training on Document Control systems, practices, and processes and procedures as needed
Ensure design and technical documentation is processed through formal release and change processes
Support development of documentation to include: user guides, technical documentation, and administration manuals for CM/DM sites and tools
Support in maintaining the CM repository
Provide inputs and help guide development of workflow processes, standards, and documentation
Assist Program Managers with monitoring/managing the process for the preparation, formatting and distribution of contract deliverables
Perform some admin/clerical duties and assist with document processing, including formatting and quality control checks
Track, monitor, and facilitate periodic review of documents
Distribute and track government approval notifications of deliverables to personnel
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
•Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree.
•Excellent communications skills, written and oral, to interface with customers and peers
•Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•Strong Working Knowledge of SharePoint or other Document Management and Collaboration Tools
•Experience in proofing, checking, and/or writing guides, manuals, and other technical documentation
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Security Clearance Requirement
•The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Travel Requirement
•10% CONUS Travel Required
Preferred Qualifications
•Knowledgeable on aircraft systems
•Familiarity with Quality Management System Standards such as AS9100
•Experience with database management is a plus
•Release Management of Technical Data (drawings/documents)
•CDRL Management/Tracking
•Knowledgeable on SharePoint Lists, Workflows, Forms, and Capabilities

Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
