Leidos is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Information Systems Security Officer (Sr. ISSO) to join our team in a classified environment. The successful candidate will maintain and secure classified information systems and ensure compliance with security protocols and regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to serve within and independently of an established Information Security team under the direction of the Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
Primary Responsibilities
This role may include a combination of duties to protect information and maintain security controls for an entire system, site, or program to reduce risk.
- High level of oral and written communication with subordinates, peers, and leadership
- Researching and developing technical solutions with security in mind.
- Possess a high level of technical writing skills.
- Managing a small team in support of the ISSM.
- Performing and overseeing appropriate system preparation and maintenance.
- Deploying and verifying compliance with government requirements.
- Supporting system maintenance efforts throughout the system life cycle.
- Supporting program end users to meet developmental goals.
- Working with others and independently.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a min Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain a final TS security clearance.
- Must have DoD 8570 compliant certification.
- A working knowledge of Windows-based Information Systems with basic experience with LINUX operating systems.
- A working knowledge of classified government work, including the ATO process, maintaining compliance with Continuous Monitoring principles.
- Familiarization with Risk Management Framework (RMF), Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG)
- The qualified candidate shall have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
- Computer Science Bachelors Degree and equivalent and 3-5 years of prior relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive training or experience with Windows-based Information Systems with a working knowledge of LINUX operating systems.
- Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing SCAP, ACAS/NESSUS, and DISA STIGs.
- Experience with DoD implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DCSA, etc.).
- Familiarity with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Assessment and Authorization Manual (DAAPM).
- Deep understanding of RMF and JSIG security principles and concepts with relevant work experience.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
