Operations Research Analyst (Data Scientist)

The Defense Group at Leidos is looking for experienced, energetic Operations Research Analyst (Data Scientist) who would like a challenge to support our team on the Air Force (AF) DCGS EPS program. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing methods, processes, and systems to analyze diverse and big data sources. The candidate will be required to develop and use advanced software programs and algorithms to query and automate processes to solve complex problems.

The AF DCGS EPS program provides sustainment engineering, sustainment planning, integrated Operations and Maintenance (O&M), cyber support, Enterprise Service Support, cloud application migration assessment, and maintenance documentation services for the integrated sustainment of the DCGS.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse sources including “big data” sources.

• Develop and use advanced software programs, algorithms, querying and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate datasets and models complex business problems.

• Work with cross-discipline teams in order to ensure connectivity between various databases and systems. 

• Develop information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance.

• Maintain awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies. 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of related experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

• Must be a US Citizen and have a minimum of an active Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Familiar with disciplines such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Predictive modeling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, or engineering

• Knowledge of applications, modeling, statistical research, analytics, and math

• Experience working with multi-classification data and systems

Pay Range:
