In this role, the successful candidate has significant experience in building JavaScript-based web applications, including familiarity with multiple frameworks, strong programming fundamentals, and typical web application development and deployment processes. You must be capable of working on multiple projects at once and seeing them all through to completion, and a self-starter who is able to work through any obstacles to get the job done. Most of the work will be on site in Leidos' facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Some level of remote/work from home is possible.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within broadly defined parameters.
- Use Jira, Confluence, Nexus, Git, development operations, collaboration, and source control tools.
- Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.
- Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them.
- Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics.
- Develop maintainable code that matches specification.
- Write and execute unit, E2E, and integration tests.
- Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development and enhancements.
- Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer first.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field with 4+ years of relevant experience. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Skillful with (ES6+) JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 broadly.
- Specific skills in any of the following client technologies preferred:
- Modern React
- Tanstack Query/ReactQuery
- StyleComponents
- Playbook
- CesiumJS
- TypeScript
- Familiar with containerization (Docker/Podman).
- Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secret clearance or greater based on a Special Background Investigation and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Familiarity with containerization (Podman/Docker).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
