Description
The Geospatial Data Analyst position directly supports key customer mission requirements for maritime safety of navigation. The position requires 5 years of prior GIS experience including but not limited to analysis, manipulate, convert, and transform geographic data into military specified compliance, while maintaining weekly and monthly milestone schedule requirements. Candidate is required to have previous employment experience working with Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) and/or Digital Nautical Chart (DNC) data, in addition to comprehensive maritime product knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidate should have knowledge of quality assurance/quality control to project specific guidance
Experience with GIS data conversion and cross-product schema mapping is desired
Esri ArcGIS software experience is required, to include updating geodatabases in ArcMap, managing data in ArcCatalog, utilizing various data editing toolbars
Successful candidates must display keen attention to detail and rigorous organizational skills
Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
No clearance is required, but only those who are eligible to receive one should apply
Candidates must display the ability to communicate, willingness to learn, and adaptive skills to coordinate in fast paced production environments

Bachelor’s degree, or relevant military experience is required. 5+ years of GIS experience
Direct experience producing Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) and/or Digital Nautical Chart is required for consideration
Must display Maritime product knowledge
Experience performing quality assurance/quality control to project specific guidance
Knowledge of geospatial metadata, and experience meeting deadlines
Experience with validation software
No clearance required. US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
The ability to prepare reports, labor and/or cost estimates and justifications, detailed procedure documents and train staff; monitor progress; and develop scripts that automate GIS processes is desirable. Maintain knowledge of in-house and regional spatial data resources; and stay abreast of GIS software trends and best practices in spatial data management. Analyze workflows, identify, and recommend improvements. Experience with CARIS S-57 composer is a plus. Prior experience working with 7Cs Analyzer validation software is a plus. The ability to improve toolkits and establish process improvements through Python is desired. Management, creation, and validation of IHO S-57 and S-100 product specifications
Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,750.00 - $88,125.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
