The Leidos Defense Group currently has a career opportunity for a Major IT Incident Response Specialist on the AFNCR IT Services program.
The position is located at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The Specialist will support all facets of the Communication Focal Point (CFP) in support of the 844th Communications Group at all three locations to include; Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB), Joint Base Andrews (JBA) and the Pentagon. This includes supporting the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) and Headquarters Air Force (HAF) customers on both NIPRNet and SIPRNet domains. Travel is not typically required, but contingencies for 24/7 operations may demand an exception.
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for coordinating efforts, documenting response actions, and reporting statuses according to standardized procedures and instructions.
Candidate will support Change Management (ChM) processes, including scheduling system maintenance.
Candidate will also support network and system monitoring when required. Daily and direct interactions with CFP leaders, functional area leaders and other support personnel is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelors degree and 4+ years of applicable experience or a Masters degree with 2+ years of applicable experience, additional years of applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Experience with the type of Networks and Systems utilized within the AFNCR IT Services program.
Create briefings from approved templates for daily presentations.
Draft status reports for network incidents.
Demonstrate effective time management and analytical skills.
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications. (PP, Excel)
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requires an active DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with BMC Remedy or other trouble ticketing systems.
Experience with Department of Defense, Air Force, or other military services.
Experience with network operations, operations centers, and/or 24/7 shift schedules.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $119,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
