The NASA IT portfolio within Civil-EMS at Leidos currently has an opening for an Endpoint Systems Administrator. This position is 100% onsite at Stennis Space Center to support this mission. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the NASA End-User Services and Technologies (NEST) mission. Primary Responsibilities
The responsibilities below span across all endpoint platforms supported by the NEST contract, including Windows, macOS, Red Hat Linux, iOS, iPadOS, iPhones and Android.
- Provide dedicated onsite and remote IT support for NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) Personnel.
- Provide dedicated Asset Management and related reporting for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) hardware and software including hoteling spaces.
- Coordinate necessary updates with CyPRESS for non-NEST 3rd party software.
- Serve as an escalation point for NEST Tier 2 (remote support) and Tier 3 (field support) technicians investigating issues with NEST-managed hardware and software
- Develop schedules for maintenance activities affecting GFE equipment for Continuity of Operations Plan and Disaster Recovery
- Provide recommendations for use of NEST and non-NEST services (including devices/software) to meet customer requirements.
- Provide dedicated support for the install and troubleshooting of non-NEST PC client software and hardware drivers upon customer’s request.
- Develop instructions, Quick Guides, Work instructions and tutorials at the SSC OCIO or NSSC Executive Management’s request for NEST services and non-NEST supported configurations.
- Provide dedicated support testing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hoteling stations for all NEST and/or non-NEST devices
- Troubleshoot, and resolve third party / Center specific (non-NEST) software installations.
- Utilize vendor websites to remain current on product release and bug report data for the third party / Center-specific (non-NEST) software
- Continually review and analyze End-user standards proactively provide comments about the standards and how they may impact NSSC IT operations.
- Maintain software inventory and configuration management following the requirements expressed below that will include providing serial numbers, version, and patch releases and in accordance with the NSSC IT Acquisition Management Procedural Instruction (PI)
- Provide dedicated support to aid the Stennis Space Center (SSC) OCIO with the management, tracking, and reporting on third party / Center-specific (non-NEST) software inventory.
- Deploy new computers, mobile devices, and refreshed systems in a manner that does not adversely impact the work of the NSSC.
- Provided dedicated GFE printer support for NSSC GFE (non-NEST) printers that include the installation, uninstallation, and relocation of the NSSC GFE printers and will coordinate the printer moves with the NSSC Property manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Public Trust or other security clearance is preferred ability to obtain public trust is required.
- Experiencing providing advanced technical support and refresh for end user technologies (PC’s, mobile devices) in an enterprise environment
- Experienced with ServiceNow Ticketing System
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical subjects in an effective way to audiences with a differing levels technical expertise.
- Understanding of 3rd party software and providing Vendor support.
Preferred Qualifications
- A current certification in a relevant field or technology
- Experience with the NASA Customer
