Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Security Operations Center (SOC) is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to CBP networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to CBP information systems including local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile/cellular, cloud, security devices, servers and workstations. The CBP SOC is responsible for the overall security of CBP Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates, and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations.
The Administrative Assistant will be supporting the Security Modernization Team, focused on Zero Trust Architecture Implementation (ZTAI). The Admin Assistant will need to work with the customer and the Team to create the monthly powerpoint presentation for the ZTAI IPT, draft meeting minutes for the monthly IPT and assist the PM with coordinating and gathering updates for the IPT. Other duties will include assisting with the maintenance of the MS Teams Channel, SharePoint site and data entry.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
Support the development of the ZTAI IPT PowerPoint
Set up project folders according to Leidos/CBP guidelines
Make updates to Processes, SOPs, and Best Practices
Process and input edits from multiple subject matter experts
Format and proofread the report using the standard template
Manage multiple drafts and issue new versions as drafts develop
Perform other general administrative duties requested by your supervisor or Project Managers.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to multitask and prioritize work in a high-volume environment.
An expert with MS Word/Office is a must
A strong background in proofreading, grammar and formatting
You should be able to work in fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment, all while maintaining a calm, positive, and proactive outlook.
Your strong analytical and communication skills will allow you to sort through complex documentation, and your ability to work independently with
Clearance: In addition to specific security clearance requirements all CBP SOC employees are required to successfully complete a CBP Background Investigation to support this program
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with DHS or CBP customer
Experience with PowerBI, Jira, MS Teams
Education & Experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Experience in lieu of degree
Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
