The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and currently has an opening for a VMware Administrator located at Ft. Meade, MD.
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must hold an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret . (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Installed, configured, and maintained the VMware Horizon View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure(VDI) environment.
•Test, troubleshoot and deploy applications, upgrades, and operating system security updates in the virtual desktop environment while working with application teams to minimize user impact
•Managed ThinApp and AppVolumes application delivery technologies
•Provide Tier III Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM/SCCM) support and will install Management Servers, Agents, reporting servers, and data warehouses where necessary and configure rules and alerts consistent with the support structure
•Responsible for the upkeep of the security posture of the environment to meet the customer requirements.
•Support system integration, system evaluation and analysis, site surveys, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems and architectures.
•Conduct engineering technical analysis to support resolving issues through application of engineering theories and concepts.
•Support the operational assessment and documentation of systems security and compliance posture to maintain accreditation.
•Provide input to project schedules, identify, and mitigate risks, document lessons learned, and deliver regular updates to stakeholders.
•Report security status to key stakeholders.
•This position will involve minimal travel.
•Must have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed to include: occasional on call support (typically one week at a time every two months) or additional hours based on mission need.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•VMware Horizon View Engineer/Administrator with 5+ years experience.
•Five (5) years’ experience working as an MECM/SCCM.
•MS Windows engineering design and operations experience.
•Experience in System Development Life Cycle.
•DoD IAT Level II certification is required before start.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•VMware Certified Professional (Datacenter Virtualization)
•Microsoft Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or other related certifications or specialty experience.
•ServiceNow experience.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $152,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
