Must have the aptitude and attitude to tackle technical challenges based on customer business objectives, timelines, and other resource constraints.
Although the position does allow for telecommuting, the candidate will be required to attend occasional customer meetings locally. Candidate must be local to the DMV area.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug web application software source code using modern software development languages and tools, such as java, angular, typescript, javascript, servlet, IntelliJ idea, vscode.
Use Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Subversion, CVS, Maven to manage work and collaborate with your teams.
Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.
Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them.
Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics.
Develop maintainable code that matches specification.
Develop automated tests leveraging a continuous integration process such as Jenkins and Selenium.
Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4-8 years of software development experience.
Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Oracle, Servlet, and REST.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript and SPA frameworks such as Angular 2+.
Hands-on experience of a version control system (e.g., Subversion and CVS).
Hands-on experience of build tools such as Maven and Ant.
Hands-on experience of web application technologies, such as Apache Httpd and Tomcat.
Hands-on experience with SQL and Relational Database Management System such as Oracle and/or MySQL
Hands-on experience with shell scripting
Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to complete tasking independently with minimal direct supervision.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, change gears quickly, and support emergency requests.
Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined engineering team.
Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
