Are you a seasoned Command Language Program Manager (CLPM)? Or do you have cryptologic or foreign language experience.? If so, Leidos is seeking someone like you to join the team at Offutt AFB, in Omaha, NE. The CLPM runs the Commander’s Language Program (CLP). The selected individual will be responsible for the following job duties:
Serve as the principal Advisor to Commanders on Foreign Language Issues, provides regular program updates and reports compliance, addresses specific linguist challenges and opportunities, maximizes language proficiency, language readiness, and mission impacts, facilitates diagnostic assessments and language placement tests; tailors individualized training for each CLA and manages remedial training.
Performs mission essential tasks critical to the successful accomplishment of AF cryptologic missions and ID language readiness for CCs through comprehensive language program management, developing and managing the unit's mentorship program, coordinating w/supervisors, language mentors and Cryptologic Language Analysts (CLA) and managing their unit's portion of the JCD (CLPM database).
Ensures assigned CLA information is listed in Military Cryptologic Continuing Education Program (MCCEP), the National Security Agency (NSA)-directed database (CHANDELIER), JCD (language portal), and other databases as directed, is reviewed and updated at least quarterly IAW applicable CFETP and other applicable documents.
In coordination with unit leadership, supervisor, language mentor and member, CLPMs create and maintain an ILTP for each military CLA assigned IAW the applicable CFETP. The ILTP will identify the individual’s specific weaknesses, strengths, and define appropriate language training needs and a training plan.
Ensure all newly assigned CLAs are provided a language specific diagnostic assessment and/or a structured language placement test if available to determine language training needs. Develop/manage process to evaluate effectiveness of training for assigned CLAs
Administers the unit’s RLTP IAW the applicable CFETP and ensure military CLAs who do not meet minimum language requirements are immediately entered into the RLTP.
Gathers and validates all military CLA proficiency data, remediation status, utilization, AFSC disqualification/waiver data, and career field/skill level (AF Form 2096) information and forward as directed.
Establishes a Command Language Program Council (CLPC) and provide CLP updates to the commander at least quarterly.
Creates a language training budget/spend plan, which they forward monthly and annual language training spend plans through wing/center to AFCO as directed.
Ensures all assigned military CLAs test at least annually in all languages in which training was provided at government expense. DLI by-pass members must also test annually in the language in which they were accepted into the AFSC. CLPMs will also ensure all assigned civilian CLAs test at least annually in the language required for their position.
Coordinates with the appropriate office: testing center/Test Control Officer, personnel, or finance, etc, on appropriate language issues, such as, Defense Language Proficiency Tests (DLPT), Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus (FLPB), etc
Performs ad hoc and recurring analysis of intelligence-related activities, performance measures of intelligence-related activities, and process improvement analysis to ensure the 16AF can adequately supply trained and proficient linguists covering a multitude of languages.
Responds to Requests for Information (RFI)s and will help advocate for additional training so USAF linguists can achieve higher levels of proficiency.
What Sets You Apart (Required):
At least 10 years of cryptologic or foreign language experience.
Bachelor's degree (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Active TS/SCI clearance required. If needed, must be willing to submit to a polygraph.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $119,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
