The Enterprise and Cyber Solutions (E&CS) Operation within Leidos’ Defense Group has an opening for a Senior Cloud Engineer supporting a cloud migration for the Defense Cyber Solutions Branch (DCSB) program. This role is primary remote. The DCSB program is a Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) for over 600 Department of Defense (DoD) subscribers. The current systems supporting DCSB are primarily hosted on premise, and DCSB has a goal of migrating to the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency’s cloud environment. This position will support the migration planning and execution of the DCSB systems to the cloud.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- After your initial onboarding and acclimation to the team you will be working with a cross functional team to build a Proof-of-Concept environment for Army ERP consolidation.
- Work in an Agile process to plan your work into 2-week sprints and participate in daily scrum meetings
- Lead the build and verification of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Scripts (to include STIGs) for building out the required Infrastructure for the system. All infrastructure systems will be built and STIGed through IaC, except where IaC limitation exist, and manual processes are required.
- Design, document, and deploy CI/CD pipeline to be used for infrastructure deployment.
- Automate Build Elements, Continuous Integration and Code Package (including Source Code Management, Unit tests and Dependency Scanning.)
- Plan & build continuous Test Automation and Orchestration
- Design & build Continuous Release Orchestration and Configuration Management Processes
- Conduct cloud assessment, planning, and migration activities for Army ERPs
- Evaluate and recommend potential cloud solutions for inclusion into customer cloud service offerings and application migration solutions.
- Design and implement cloud-based deployment solutions for enterprise applications.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 6+ years. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must have experience as a Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer developing code and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, and cloud PaaS & SaaS services.
- Proficient with Python or equivalent programming language.
- Experience with building and managing CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Harbor, Gitlab, SonarQube, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices.
- Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
- Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.
- Must be able to obtain CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Ability to interact positively, collaborate and communicate appropriately with team members.
- Able to obtain Interim DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in complex application integration.
- AWS certifications, Professional desired, or associates with additional experience.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
- Active/inactive DoD Secret Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $176,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
