More About the Role:
Leidos currently has an opening on the ‘Service Management, Integration and Transport’ (SMIT) Contract for a Transport Services Cost Account Manager (CAM) position. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the SMIT mission. SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under SMIT, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. This position requires someone with extensive problem-solving skills where problems may be unclear and require a detailed understanding of the underlying contributing issues in a complex environment. Communication and collaboration are critical to the success of this position briefing leadership and gathering data among multiple lower-level resource team leads to provide a cohesive operational view of on-going projects, processes, orders, deliveries, invoicing, and Profit & Loss analysis.
Candidates for this position are highly motivated and have working knowledge of financial planning tools and methodologies, project execution as well as the ability to analyze and interpret numerous policies and procedures. This includes a solid understanding of data analytics. The ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced, and mission-focused environment is a must.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Responsible for overall tracking of Transport Services issues and concerns that will assist leaders with the management of complex issues that range from program management, CDRL Management, Financial Planning, and Resource management which may require you to deal with and/or resolve corporate sensitive, politically sensitive, and complex challenges.
•Maintain data integrity across multiple financial and staffing planning tools.
•Responsible for ensuring scope of project documents (BOE); makes certain they are uploaded into systems of record to track performance metrics and historical trends.
•Determine the financial impact of what/if scenarios using current EAC and forecasted information modeling options for comparison and tracking actuals against projections at month end. Analyze variances and provide input to forecast updates.
•Works with finance team to understand and report monthly/quarterly/annual variances within the EAC and forecast to leadership team.
•Hosts recurring meetings, at least monthly, with lower-level resource managers and the Orderable CLIN team to gather input, track actuals and adjust forecasts within finance tools.
•Monitor and enforce budgetary restrictions on salaries and purchasing expenses.
•Prepare and update operational plans which includes Leidos personnel, contractors, and non-related headcount expenses to meet schedule and cost requirements.
•Support leadership activities associated with materials cost and headcount to identify cost saving initiatives while maintaining operational readiness.
•Maintain staffing data and staffing metrics, providing reports to leadership team as needed.
•Work in conjunction with leadership team to ensure all staffing actions are completed by the required due date.
•Work with functional support teams, including project managers, finance, contracts, subcontracts, and security, to assist with program requirements.
•Assist with the development of content for program reviews and contract milestones.
•Support the technical publications team with writing support, peer reviews, quality reviews, and file management support.
•Lead weekly EAC meetings at which variances and financial impacts are to be discussed.
•Act as the resource planner for EAC updates within the Transport budget area and projects that are supported by the transport team, entering the data into a resource table or Integrated Program Manager (IPM)
•Other duties as required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
•Must be able to leverage data analytic skills to support recommendations and decision making by the leadership team.
•Must have strong communications skills, verbal, written and leveraging collaboration tools.
•Must have advanced understanding of Excel functionality and formulas.
•Must have keen attention to detail and be capable of reviewing work product to minimize errors before submitting to the leadership team.
•Ability to work independently or in a team environment to resolve complex issues in a dynamic environment.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Typically requires a B.A. Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
•4+ years prior financial responsibilities in a large-matrixed organizations.
•US Citizen and have an acitve DoD Secret Security Clearance.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills leveraging Teams, E-mail, and O365 Applications.
•Experienced and adept at developing and maintaining technical documents, analyses, and reports.
•Experienced with preparing and presenting briefings to senior customer management, customer stakeholders, and corporate management.
•Ability to travel 10%, Working knowledge of the ITIL framework and best practices.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•8+ years prior financial responsibilities in a large-matrixed organizations.
•ITIL certifications/training preferably including Service Strategy and Service Design (ITIL v4 Preferred).
•Agile Certification or operational experience in an Agile environment.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
