Leidos is currently seeking to hire a full-time Research Associate to support the Health and Behavioral Sciences Department at the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA. This position will support multiple ongoing health research studies focused on improving the health and wellness of military personnel. This position involves working closely with military, government, and contract researchers to conduct literature searches and organize relevant literature, assist with preparing regulatory documents and data collection materials, execute in-person and virtual data collection efforts, conduct data entry and verification tasks, and to contribute to manuscript preparation and other research deliverables.
Position Responsibilities
Assist in the development of Institutional Review Board protocols, modifications, and continuing reviews.
Conduct literature reviews.
Coordinate subject recruitment and data collection.
Complete trainings on the data collection protocols and other requirements necessary to conduct human subjects research.
Administer consent forms, questionnaires, surveys, and interviews with research participants.
Ensure compliance with data collection policies.
Assist in developing study methodologies.
Manage data collection preparations and logistics, track data collection progress.
Assist in the creation, development, and maintenance of databases for previous, current, and upcoming research projects.
Enter and track research data in computer databases and study worksheets, records, and reports.
Review subject records for accuracy and completeness and identify and resolve any discrepancies/inconsistencies.
Review and update study-related datasets and documents for accuracy and completeness; Identify and resolve any discrepancies/inconsistencies.
Review, incorporate/create and maintain data entry processes and instruction based on individual research protocols.
Contribute to the development of progress reports, briefings, and presentations. Conduct basic analyses using Excel, SAS, SPSS, or similar software packages.
Assist in writing and editing study materials, reports, and manuscripts.
Participate collaboratively in team meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences (psychology/sociology), public health, or related field
Minimum of 1 year work experience in a professional setting
Must have reliable transportation and reliable access to telephone and internet technology.
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of or experience working with the military community.
Experience with human subjects research
Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,300.00 - $96,350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
