POSITION SUMMARY(program supporting/general position overview):
Leidos is seeking an expert level Imagery Scientist-Photogrammetrist to provide direct support to the intelligence community in meeting time-sensitive analytic requirements to support our National Security Customer in Springfield, VA. The successful candidate will work as a member of a government-contractor team providing imagery science support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will provide imagery science services in support of the production of standard and non-standard GEOINT products. Specifically, the candidate will conduct Image chain analysis, statistical analysis, photogrammetry, error estimation theory, algorithm development, temporal, probability, and pattern analysis; correlation of events, assessment sampling in support of GEOINT production. The Imager Scientist will also present ad hoc informational briefings and training to analysts and managers regarding the capabilities of their scientific specialty; participate in technology forums and attending technical exchange meetings; conduct user test and evaluation of new capabilities; and investigate new scientific analysis techniques and methods as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- BS Degree in Image Science/Remote Sensing/Geodetic Science or other relevant specialty; MS Degree strongly preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- More than 20 years’ image science/photogrammetry experience in the intelligence community - Relevant BS/MS Degree counts toward experience requirement (4 and 6 years respectively).
- Certified Photogrammetrist.
- Proficiency in the sensor disciplines and image chain analysis.
- Statistical probability and pattern analysis.
- Proficiency with using COTS image software (e.g. ENVI, ERDAS Imagine), COTS desktop software (e.g. MS Office).
- Detailed experience using AGI processing and exploitation software.
- Ability to work in a very dynamic and demanding work environment.
- Work cooperatively as a team member and provide guidance to analysts to build effective customer relationships.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $190,350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
