Description
The Integrated Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Technical Team Lead to perform on a new Systems Engineering and Integration program. The successful candidate will provide enterprise-wide systems engineering support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community. The candidate will manage moderate to large projects and teams with minimal oversight and support decisions to access, plan, coordinate, schedule and implement projects from inception through operations.
Qualified applicants must be self-motivated and able to perform expertly given consistently evolving priorities. The candidate will be required to work independently to collaboratively and constructively influence both internal and external organizations for strategic and operational decisions for program entities, Directorate Customers, and Industry Partners to achieve positive results.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a technical team in performing systems integrations of large-scale systems, major system elements, and interfacing systems that are part of complex network environments with geographically distributed components.
- Assign team resources, deconflict priorities, mitigate risks, and communicate pertinent issues with recommended solutions to program leadership.
- Provide Systems Engineering and Project Management expertise with a focus on service delivery improvements across the Enterprise
- Develop innovative Systems Engineering solutions to resolve complex problems involving limited and disparate information through application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation, and integration of best practices
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct integration, verification, and tests events
- Facilitate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with project participants
- RFC impact review and assessment using the customers tools, processes, and procedures
- Requirements analysis, configuration management, and quality assurance activities
Basic Qualifications
- U.S. citizen with Current TS/SCI access and Polygraph
- Requires a BS and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience
- Demonstrate ability to lead and work collaboratively in team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor)
- Excellent Systems Engineering technical abilities and project management skills
- Mission-specific technical knowledge and operations experience
- 8 or more years of experience managing and leading large and complex projects and teams in the customer environment
- Systems Engineering and Systems installation, integrating and test experience
- Understanding of cross site and enterprise level planning and implementation practices
- Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) using the NSIS process framework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and MS Project software suites
- Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) using the NSIS process framework
- Ability to communicate effectively in technical and non-technical verbal and written correspondence with internal team members, customers, and external stake holders
Preferred Qualifications
- Model-Based System Engineering
- Experience with rapid delivery methods
- Experience working across contract and location boundaries
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence and Microsoft SharePoint
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $213,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
