Leidos seeks qualified and trained Exercise Coordinator to support U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command (MARFORCYBER) G7. Exercise support will focus on providing timely, comprehensive, and realistic training to MARFORCYBER personnel to drive individual, unit, and organizational growth that underpins MARFORCYBER vision of being the nation’s force of choice to defend cyber equities, enable freedom of action, and provide effects in Cyberspace domain.

Primary Responsibilities

- Plan, and coordinate, individual, section and organizational-level exercises and

joint collective events to train Cyber, Information Operations (IO), and Space professionals

- Develop and provide cross-functional exercise design and execution for team, unit, and

Service-level battle staffs, for active duty, reserve, Contractor and Government personnel

- Support coordination and execution of exercise operations, to include: mission rehearsals and

assessments, incorporating modeling and simulation; and related Cyber Operations (CO), IO, and Space Operations (SO) exercise requirements, as appropriate

- Develop exercise design, scripts and the development of exercise scenarios and related

Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects, which addresses the following:

  -- Assessments for use by higher, lateral, and subordinate entities to continue

      improvement in both planning and execution of assigned mission essential tasks

  -- Exercise designs, must be based on current scenarios, MSELs and emergent

      intelligence threat information.

  -- Integrate relevant command doctrine

  -- Operational after-action findings

  -- Provide rapid adjustment to emerging real-world tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)

  -- War game and experimentation results

- Develop reports, briefings, and recommendations to improve exercise and training

efficiency and effectiveness, and identification of shortfalls and gaps

- Mentor mid-level and junior staff

Basic Qualifications

- Current Top Secret security clearance and eligible for SCI access, w/Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph or eligible for polygraph

- BA/BS degree with 8-10 yrs. experience within CO, Intelligence, IO, or SO

- Demonstrated understanding of exercise design process to include Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and the Joint Lessons Learned system and related concepts.

- Five (5) yrs. experience supporting the planning and development of large-scale exercises using JELC

- Five (5) yrs. experience with JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats and guidance as a Joint Operations Planner

- Five (5) yrs. experience leading or materially contributing to the design, planning, organizing, and executing of Combatant Command (COCOM) or Service-Component level Command Post Exercises, Staff Exercises, or Field Training Exercises

 - Demonstrated experience in four (4) or more events proving the ability to develop and integrate non-kinetic IO or Cyber activities into training, exercise, rehearsal, testing, and experimentation events. 

- Five (5) yrs. experience supporting test and evaluation activities specifically related to service training, Joint training, exercises, experimentation, mission rehearsal, and COCOM, service, and agency events. 

- Two (2) yrs. experience briefing or delivering training to senior military and civilian leaders

- Two (2) yrs. experience forecasting, documenting and managing an exercise budget 

- Ability to provide timely, accurate, relevant analytic documents, summaries, issue papers, talking points, and briefings.

- Demonstrated proficiency working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, ability to proactively multi-task and meet short deadlines

- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey complex and technical data to nontechnical consumers

Preferred Qualifications

- BA/BS degree w/10-15 yrs. experience supporting Joint Operations or Masters’ degree with 8+ yrs. experience

- Prior experience providing exercise support to MARFORCYBER in any capacity

- Prior experience as an exercise planner focused on Intelligence or IO support to service or Joint Operations

- Prior experience with USMC Space operations in any capacity

- Prior experience with USMC support to Joint operations across multiple warfighting domains

- Desired Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (CCNA Security, COMPTIA CySA+, COMPTIA Security + CE, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
