Leidos Public Health Portfolio has openings for a Software Developers, contingent upon contract award, to work in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Role is telecommuting - candidate MUST:

be located within the United States currently and for the current 3 consecutive years.

Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

The Software Developer is responsible for working with a diverse set of stakeholders to review and analyze requirements, design, build, and test new software features and functionality, and investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Collaborates with program managers, business analyst, development lead on the requirement elicitation, and documentation and acceptance criteria in fast-paced agile environment.
  • Work with development lead to flesh out technical and QA requirements.
  • Expertise in creating application design, and data flow diagrams
  • Quickly adapt to customer dynamic environment and adopt their processes and foster innovative ideas.
  • Adhere to Agile processes and software engineering best practices.
  • Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer first.
  • Trouble shoot software errors and technical issues in development, QA, and production environments
  • Produce relevant design and technical artifacts
  • Reading and comprehending software requirements, and assisting with estimating efforts
  • Assisting with application deployments which include installation, configuration, and testing
  • Producing technical documentation for new and existing features and application configurations

Technical experience:

    Bachelor’s and following related experience

  • 2+ Experience with Application design, Application refactoring, micro-services and web services
  • 3+ Experience with designing, developing, and testing application interfaces
  • 3+ year experience with coding languages like C#, .Net, R, Python.
  • Experience developing and deploying solutions on Azure cloud
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, JavaScript, C# .Net, SQL, and/or other Microsoft development tools
  • Proficiency with web application and data analytics technologies
  • Experience working in an agile development environment

Preferred Experience in one or more skill areas:

  • Experience with Palantir Foundry, Databricks and/or REDCap
  • One or more of the following Azure certifications – Azure Developer, Azure Data Engineer, or other relevant certificates
  • Experience in technical domains such as Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) Analytics
  • java experience in addition to required is a plus
  • Previous experience working in CDC or other federal agencies
  • Familiar with 508 compliant requirements

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
