Primary Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain source code, create and maintain software applications and apply frameworks involved in a software release
  • Document, manage configuration, test, and conduct bug fixing in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product
  • Work with the overall program team in the design and development of new applications as well as integrating new solutions on existing applications within the cloud
  • Analyze complex application development needs, reason logically, and identify solutions to include potential new tools/technologies and appropriate recommendations
  • Provide commanding knowledge of building and deploying systems on the Cloud, using CI/CD frameworks and infrastructure automation
  • Adapt to changes in a multi-cloud DevSecOps environment
  • Provide creation of automation scripts, coding, testing, deployment, and integration with the cloud
  • Maintain all source code in conformance with best practices and customer specifications
  • Understand user needs and develop software solutions through clear communication with product owner and scrum team
  • Design and develop within a cloud environment customized to IRS requirements, with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
  • Work to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the area/ project team
  • Work independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments, and may assist other technical staff with tasks and assignments
  • Address somewhat complex technical issues/problems using internal best practice and through collaboration with colleagues
  • Develop solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge, but are typically limited in complexity
  • Communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.)
  • Explain technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with user Interfaces, ReactJS with Next.js, and Microservices and APIs - Java with Spring Boot and Spring Batch, webMethods, Istio, JBoss
  • Expertise in one or more programming language is required
  • Must have working knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of technical domainExperience with Java, JavaScript, and Cloud operations such as AWS, GCP and Azure.Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-based application development
  • Experience working in a DevOps and Agile environments using code delivery mechanisms, continuous build systems, code repositories, and continuous delivery solutions
  • Must have ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation, similar to a Public Trust Clearance.
  • This offer is contingent upon Leidos being awarded a subcontract under the IRS Enterprise Development, Operations Services (EDOS) contract/program
  • Offer also contingent on Leidos' customer approval of your qualifications to support the IRS Enterprise Development, Operations Services (EDOS) contract/program

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
