Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for a Project Manager who will work alongside lead engineers and program managers supporting a growing clientele of construction partners. We are currently seeking a qualified applicant to provide turnkey project management services related to electric utility engineering projects throughout the United States. The Project Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office within our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to construction partners rebuilding and expanding transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure nationwide.

As an EPC Project Manager, you can expect to:

  • Independently lead project teams to complete engineering design of various sized electrical infrastructure projects for construction clients located throughout the United States
  • Accept responsibility for overall project performance, reporting, and fostering strategic relationships
  • Manage project costs, schedule and scope, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits
  • Interface directly with the client and internal management to solve issues and report progress, costs, schedule adherence and risks
  • Ensure contract compliance throughout project lifecycle
  • Drive results by coordinating and working with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables
  • Ensure and document adherence to the quality control process
  • Communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel
  • Prepare bid documents, develop cost estimates and respond to requests For proposal
  • Complete client invoicing and accruals within prescribed time frames
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing partnerships and grow new relationships

What you'll bring to the table (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required
  • A minimum of four (4) + years of relevant Project Management experience
  • Familiarity with the electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
  • Must have the capability to understand, plan, monitor and report project financial performance
  • Demonstrated success in change management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, Pro Core, MS Project, P6)
  • Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Periodic travel is required; Candidates should possess a valid US driver's license; Candidates in the Pacific Northwestern US will be preferred in order to best serve our customers, but qualified candidates located elsewhere will also be considered

You Might also have:

  • Experience leading EPC contracts
  • Experience supporting construction operations
  • Working knowledge of the consulting business
  • PMP Certification; ideal candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification within two years

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
