Leidos has a direct placement for a Central Regional Coordinator to provide technical, and project management support to Leidos IDIQ Program Manager for the Checkpoint Screening Equipment Deployment Services (SEDS). The Regional Coordinator will support the TSA Technical Monitors for the Deployment and Sustainment Division (DSD) in the deployment of Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) at airports across the Central region. 

This opening encompasses Regional Coordinator responsible for Site Leads within the region. Site Leads perform site validation visits, design reviews, coordination of deliveries, site remediation, deployment and close out for federalized airports across the United States and its territories to prepare these airports for various TSE. This position will support the TSA’s DSD to implement the best security technology solutions to protect the nation’s transportation systems ensuring freedom of movement for both people and commerce.

This position is a part of the Program Management of the SEDS PMO Contract (70T04021F7672N019).  This position will be involved in the day-to-day management of Site Leads within the region and will report to the IDIQ Program Manager with a matrixed relationship to the Task Order Program Managers for individual Task Orders that will be issued under the SEDS contract.

The Regional Coordinator will be responsible for Site Specific deliverables and support of business functions that support the deployment of TSE (e.g., subcontracting coordination).  Ensures adherence to project goals and objectives while working to mitigate the risk of erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals that will result in critical delay(s) in schedule and cost over-runs that may jeopardize the overall deployments.

Identify and communicate issues with meeting project schedules, to include delays in completing deliverables by the Site Leads.  Review and adjust project baseline schedules by airport and work directly with the Site Leads to keep the schedules up to date.  Possesses the ability to lead and teach others.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manage Site Leads within the Central region. Site Lead team will be comprised of internal Leidos employees and subcontractor employees.
oCoach Site Leads throughout management of projects 
oTimecard approvals (SLICS and Costpoint)
oWorkday management for internal Site Leads
oApprove Site Lead Travel expenses 
oTrack deliverables and to-do items from Site Leads to ensure on time submissions
oIdentify if Site Leads are over/under worked and if additional Site Lead staff is needed work with TOPM and subcontracts to obtain surge subk Site Lead support (or internal candidates if need is longer term)
oHold weekly meetings with Site Leads to review their current and upcoming work
oHold weekly meetings with TOPMs to brief upcoming week work, risks, and issues
oBe available for the  middle of the night phone calls to help a Site Lead resolve an issue – if you don’t know, escalate to TOPM, then TSA
-Be the primary interface for TSA Regional Technical Monitor
oAttend Weekly status meeting to provide status of on-going projects
-Review, consolidate, and submit Daily Site Report based on submissions from Site Leads
oEnsure Site Leads are aware of the requirement and which sites will have an update based on on-going activity
-Maintain and manage a regional schedule.
oIdentify efficiencies within the schedule and assign projects to Site Leads as they are awarded/scheduled. 
-Share lessons learned within the region
-Provide input to Task Order Program Managers (TOPM) for Task Order specific deliverables and to IDIQ for IDIQ specific deliverables (Weekly/Monthly Reports and Program Management Reviews).
-Identify any subcontractor performance issues and escalate as necessary to TOPM/IDIQ PM/Subcontracting to find a resolution or alternate provider.
-Attend IPT calls for the Central region.
-Act as back up for Site Leads when they cannot attend IPT calls 
-Provide guidance and oversight across all deployment teams to ensure that technical, cost, and schedule parameters are met or exceeded. 

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with high energy and initiative to easily adapt to dynamic, fast-paced work environments.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
•A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience with Project/Program Management 
•A minimum of 5 years of experience in support of TSA Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) deployments and/or Airport projects
•A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience and/or familiarity with all steps in the lifecycle of deploying TSE in the Central Region including permitting requirements
•A Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s Degree with 5+ years of applicable experience
•The candidate must hold a current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or obtain the training, have the desire, and ability to obtain PMP certification within 90 days of hire
•Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
•Works well in a remote team environment and able to ask the “right questions” to obtain critical information from a wide range of sources (personnel and other reference data)
•Well organized and able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
•Excellent attention to detail and develops high quality services and products (e.g., reports, spreadsheets, documents, etc.)
•Experience working as part of a geographically dispersed team
•Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a cross-functional team 
•TSA vetted or willingness/ability to be TSA vetted

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
•5+ years of TSE Deployment Experience; specifically on the TEDS and SEDS programs and/or with TSA.  
•Ability to balance priorities and to thrive in a multi-project environment.
•The candidate must be a strong team player, capable of dealing with complex issues and the ability to interface with multiple groups.
•Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
