Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineering Integrator to support NASA's Human Health and Performance Contract at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. This position will provide system engineering integration for the Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Program. The Systems Engineering Integrator is responsible for developing plans and processes for conducting major milestone reviews, providing leadership in conducting milestone reviews, coordinating team engagement in reviews, and performing system integration with management and other key stakeholders in both planning and execution. The role works in collaboration with a large team of System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) personnel in a hybrid work environment. Remote work will typically be permitted two days a week.

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Pubic Trust Security Clearance are required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans conducting Commercial LEO milestone reviews, including: success criteria, adjudication, board responsibilities.
  • Assess and recommend tailored milestone review criteria from NPR 7120/7123.
  • Develop milestone review execution plans for Commercial LEO that include personnel training, schedule, product reviews, comment management, dashboard development and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and execute milestone reviews in accordance with plans, (e.g. Mission Concept Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc.)
  • Establish milestone agendas, coordinating with multiple NASA stakeholders at multiple levels and centers.
  • Communicate with independent review team for input into milestone review process and provide summarization of milestone review results.
  • Perform supporting technical system integration on behalf of Commercial LEO by representing the team at key meetings and meeting with key stakeholders that include management and technical authorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years performing milestone review integration
  • Experience in system integration, including NASA and/or commercial partner milestone reviews (e.g. Preliminary Design Review)
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with strong collaboration skills to perform cross-program integration
  • Ability to lead specific tasks, working within a team environment which is distributed across multiple NASA centers
  • Ability to identify integration concerns and gaps in information and communicate concerns to leadership in a diplomatic and constructive manner
  • Well-developed skills in both written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing NASA or NASA-related system documentation

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
