Job Description:
The Civil Health Operation is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator in Bethesda, MD.
The Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for a grants management system and supports over 500K users worldwide 24x7x365. The candidate will be responsible for provisioning, designing, installing, configuring as well as operations and maintenance of software and systems related infrastructure. Duties: Develop and implement automated processes for routine system administration tasks such as system monitoring, rolling restart, patching, etc. Drive technical innovation and efficiency in cloud infrastructure operations via automation scripting and working with API's Work closely with architects and development teams to develop, plan and implement application deployments Configure and manage cloud infrastructure systems including servers, storage, virtual network and various services Perform system administration tasks including systems setup, configuration, patching, applying security baselines and ensuring system compliance Provide system administration, engineering and management support services for cloud based infrastructure

- Provide design and implementation solutions in efficiently migrating an on-premise infrastructure to AWS. Provide thought leadership in ensuring smooth migration. - Implement Infrastructure as Code using various tools like Ansible, Chef, Cloud Formation etc.

Required Education and Experience Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or similar; or equivalent work experience 8 years of relevant technical experience is required
Systems administration, engineering and management support services for the Linux/Windows OS and 3rd party software products Solid knowledge of cloud architecture and cloud management Hands on experience setting up and managing automation solutions using cloud-based services such as System Manager, Cloud Watch or similar tools Hands on experience automating routine system administration tasks using python, ansible or similar platforms and languages Knowledge of cloud technologies to implement and integrate various infrastructure systems in Iaas environment Experience with security risk and threat analysis, detection and remediation Requires outstanding communication skills, problem solving skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively identify, troubleshoot, resolve and escalate problems
Prior experience working with development teams or supporting software products developed in house is a plus Experience with federal grants management a plus Relevant AWS certification preferred
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required
