Leidos is looking for a TSA Field Service Technician. This position require 75% travel within the region.
Job Description:
Operates on a regularly schedule as well as in an on-call capacity. Duties include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and training customer employees on how to maintain machinery. Communicates effectively in person or by phone to assist Level 2 and 1 Field service technicians. Performs trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. If not already certified for maintaining and repairing the security equipment noted above, then certification is a condition of employment. Must be able to clearly document work performed. High level of reliability is required.
Job Responsibilities:
• Report to the Area managers
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) at U.S. airports under a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) contract for integrated logistics services
• Performs corrective maintenance (CM) on Transportation Security Equipment at U.S. airports and is on-call for CM activities in their area
Required Education: High School degree or GEDDesired Education: Associates' Degree Desired (May be Required)
Required Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in the field of security equipment maintenance and repair or in a related area.
Job Requirements:
- Must be familiar with basic concepts, practices, and procedures for security equipment maintenance and repair.
- Report to the Area managers or senior Technician
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) at U.S. airports under a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) contract for integrated logistics services
- Performs Level 1 corrective maintenance (CM) on Transportation Security Equipment at U.S. airports and is on-call for first response to CM activities in their area
- Must be trained and certified in PM and CM procedures for equipment on which they work- Must be available for overtime as needed in addition to some travel. If not already certified for maintaining and repairing the security equipment noted above, then certification is a condition of employment. - Candidates must have a good driving record and a reliable personally owned vehicle to use for performing daily work.
- 2 of the following 4 Certifications are required. Rapiscan 620DVAT, 620DVAT2, 520B/TRXU, and 522B/TRXU
Desired Skills:
Specific experience on Security Screening Equipment is a plus: Garrett, CEIA, Smiths Detections, Rapiscan, Morpho Detection and L3.
