Job Description:
Job Summary Leidos is looking for a seasoned Network Engineer to support various classified customers. The successful candidate will be required to provide computer network defense and malware solutions, build interconnected network of support platforms, create and maintain SOP documentation procedures for complying with network security requirements. Primary Responsibilities Leidos is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support a classified customer. The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties: • Oversee requirements, scope, and architecture for baselines; integrating, delivering, installing and testing Network Baseband Systems • Responsible for network security configuration • Work with teams on prototypes for handoff to development teams • Responsible for scheduling installation technical support and activity sequence for projects • Resolve functional and performance issues in various environments • Support technical efforts including troubleshooting network, architecture, design, and implementation, installing and/or upgrading equipment for tail circuits • Support operational issues and feature enhancements activating communications services for customers • Work directly with customer to provide interface between Engineering Teams and customer • Schedule installation technical support and activity sequence for projects • Plan, organize, and control projects, as well as tracking and reporting status and schedules • Provide technical documentation and other support • Brief customer on the accomplishments and operations of Engineering Team • Lead O&M operations in support of customer network • Lead multiple efforts to modernize IT infrastructure and add enhanced reliability and availability to IT infrastructure • Integrate, deliver, install, and test Network Baseband Systems • Assure End-to-End life cycle support of network baseband and satellite systems • Develop and implement a metrics plan/reporting system • When required, pack and ship equipment, systems, or packages originating, configured, or assembled at the Contractor's facility solution or the Sponsor's site as appropriate
Basic Qualifications • TS/SCI with favorable polygraph• Education: B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Science, or an equivalent technical degree program with specific, relevant work experience • Five or more years of experience in an engineering discipline with an emphasis on network development, integration and maintenance. • Two or more years' of experience in engineering, development, integration, and product evaluation services • Model-Based Diagrams, Lifecycle Traceability, Verification and Validation, 3D Simulation, Customizable Reports, Enterprise Scale, Verification and Validation Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated hands-on-experience with network (LAN and WAN), storage/backup, platforms (Windows/Linus Servers and desktop), virtual platforms, and different security technologies.
