Job Description:
Provide multilingual interpretation services in native languages for meetings, conferences, seminars, litigation proceedings, briefings, training, escort and various other forms of voice communication. Support may be required for a seven-day workweek / 24-hour day, for an 8 hour work shift. Normally work will consist of an 8 hour workday, Monday through Friday but may include work on weekends and Federal holidays. Overtime or hours in excess of 40 hours per week may be required to support the mission. Performance may vary, but the majority of the work will occur at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and some other overseas locations. Additional work shall be performed on site in the National Capital Region
Ideal Candidate needs to have graduated from a U.S. College or University with a 4 year Degree CLEARANCE: TS/SCI clearance for OCONUS work / SECRET clearance to qualify RESPONSIBILITIES: Consecutive interpretation requires the interpreter to listen, comprehend, translate, and reproduce the original message after the speaker or signer pauses such as in the "question and answer" mode in which the speaker completes his statement and the interpreter begins to interpret after the statement is completed
