The National Solutions Operation is currently soliciting an experienced Assistant Program Manager for Language Exploitation (APMLE) for a large language services contract supporting a DoD customer in the National Capital Region (NCR). The APMLE will work in a dynamic team environment. The APMLE will have oversight of a 24/7 response center, the gisting and translation of items identified by triage and specific customer requests for service, and quality control of gists and translations
Must currently possess TS/SCI. Candidate will be required to pass a polygraph and subject interview prior to starting on the project.
The primary responsibilities of the APMLE are:
Coordinate with other customer offices and elements to ensure the timely translation and dissemination of files and or documents in accordance with customer requirements and standard operating procedures
Develop and institute a system and procedures for screening linguists
Perform supervisory and administrative functions overs screeners and quality control linguists
Monitoring linguist performance and productivity
Coordinate with the Government staff to identify the required contract staff required to complete the mission
Provide a motivating environment
Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Maintain and implement a Quality Control plan to ensure high quality of translation products
Indoctrinate incoming contractor personnel
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
At least 8 years of professional experience to include:
Three (3) years of experience as a direct hands-on manager and supervisor
Five (5) years previous experience working as a linguist
Three (3) years of experience managing document and media exploitation operations
Two (2) years of experience utilizing human language technology tools, the NMEC Exploitation System, and the Harmony/TED database
Familiar with translation industry standards for language services and workflow.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communicator in both written and verbal formats to a variety of audiences
Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner (email, spoken, & reports).
Ability to make sound decisions and handle stress, while meeting deadlines and performing in a high-paced environment.
Familiarity with Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX) processes and specialized tools (i.e. FTK, EnCase, or similar).
Previous work managing a language services contract
