Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer in either Amarillo TX, or Oak Ridge, TN
The DevOps Engineer will work with DevOps principles and apply them to infrastructure; will work across disciplines including Windows, Linux, and VMWare.
-Identify opportunities to automate and containerize solutions.
-Ensures solutions are well engineered, operable, and maintainable
-Works with IT project management organization to deliver solutions on schedule
-Tracks and documents requirements for enterprise development projects
-Monitors current and future trends in technology which will positively affect organizational projects
-Acts as the senior technical resources for organization projects
-Works with enterprise architects to develop solutions which align to organization and mission needs
-Responsible for working with IT project management organization to allocate assigned labor/budget resources to execute project tasks
-Work effectively as part of an architecture team providing technical guidance to the business
-Ability to interact with senior leadership and customers to promote current technologies and solutions
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Supports and promotes an environment which relies on teamwork and collaboration
-Ability to take larger projects and break them down into manageable work units
Desktop Engineer and Application Engineer additional responsibilities include: Working with IT staff to utilize Git environment for maintaining DevOps scripts and other tools; Identifying and working with team of engineers and architects to configure and customize DevOps solutions; and Working with software development teams on container technologies and how containers could be used in the IT environment.
Security Engineer additional responsibilities include: Collaborating with software development teams to establish secure coding practices; Working with software development teams and cyber security teams to establish application security testing methodologies and tools; Working with cyber security and security architect to establish secure methodologies for utilize cloud services such as Azure or AWS; and Assisting with the development of automated testing processes for IT products and services such as network switches, operating systems (Windows and Linux), software packages both COTS and locally developed, as well as cloud solutions.

Leidos is a member company of the joint venture Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC (CNS).
CNS manages and operates the Pantex Plant in Texas and the Y-12 National Security Complex in Tennessee under a single contract from the U.S. Department of Energy/NNSA. Pantex, located northeast of Amarillo, Texas, is the nation's primary facility for the final assembly, dismantlement, and maintenance of nuclear weapons. Providing the nuclear deterrent for our nation and allies, ensuring our stockpile is strong and viable, reducing the total nuclear weapons in the stockpile, and supporting the stockpile as the High Explosive Center of Excellence are key activities at this historic site. Y-12 helps ensure a safe and effective U.S. nuclear weapons deterrent by retrieving and storing nuclear materials, fueling the nation's naval reactors, and performing complementary work for other government and private-sector entities. Y-12 is our nation's Uranium Center of Excellence.
10+ years' experience with various operating system (Windows, Linux) and database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) 3 years' experience with DevOps concepts and implementing DevOps
Must either possess or be able to obtain a DOE Q clearance
BA/BS degree from accredited university preferred, but not required
Experience with web servers such as Apache and IIS is preferred
Familiarity with automation of process and working with ServiceNow developers to execute end-to-end automation activities is required
Experience with Git repositories (specific experience with GitLab would be helpful)
Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, .Net, PHP, Ruby, Powershell, Python helpful
