Job Description:

The National Solutions Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Junior level IA System Architect and Engineer to support a client's requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in Oakton, Virginia. The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and is contingent upon program award.The IA System Architect and Engineer assists in IA system and networking design and integration efforts and implements customer policies and operating procedures to ensure the security of mission systems protecting the systems from intentional or inadvertent access that may cause damage or destruction. The IA System Architect and Engineer will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC community.Primary ResponsibilitiesList daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.Provides specifications and detailed schematics for IA system and network architecture.Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation. techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.Monitor the results of production IA activities to support implementation of the overall IA programProduce documentation necessary to obtain Information Assurance (IA) Certification/re-Certification and Accreditation (C&A) to support acceptance testing and evaluation of all program office systems in production. These include the generation of technical documentation such as Interim Authority to Operate, Authority to Operate and System Security Authorization Agreement.Perform or monitor security testing of systems to ensure security features are functioning properly in support of certification and accreditation of production items.Draft DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) Packages for Government review.Conduct testing of IA systems and network design.Maintain technical expertise in all areas of IA system, network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.Evaluate and report on new IA technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.Recommend action or technical options when planned accomplishments or production IA operational goals are not achieved.Understand the site and enterprise well enough to work through IA system and network-related issues with other segments at the facility and across the enterprise. Typical Minimums:* 2-5 years' experience in IA system design, maintenance, and operation* Active TS/SCI with Polygraph* Security+ Certification / IASAE / CISSP* Hands-on experience diagnosing IA system and network related issues* Ability to work independently to resolve technical issues in a dynamic environment.* Must be willing to be scheduled to work, or be called in to work, during off hours to meet customer mission support requirements Preferred QualificationsList additional skills and experience that is "nice to have" but not required. * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree. Considered career, or journey, level. * Experience with HP NNM, Cisco Prime, and CiscoWorks* Ability to interact with system users and customers* Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing situations* Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
