The Defense and Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Test Engineer to work in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Small Unmanned Aircraft System Program mission. In this mission we will support the development and test of SUAS aircraft avionics/flight control systems, associated ground control stations and supporting equipment.
- The qualified applicant must have a minimum of 3 years' of professional experience with analysis of system requirements and system architectures, development of test models and test artifacts to define system verification plans and procedures to validate system capabilities. Efforts may also include conduct of system integration and verification testing, formal system acceptance testing, performing system trade studies and performance analyses, as well as interfacing with product teams during design and test phases. - A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent degree.- Solid understanding and application of Systems Engineering principles, requirements analysis and decomposition, system architecture and design- Experience developing Requirements Verification Matrix, Acceptance Test Plans, and associated test procedures. - Experience executing and leading a test team in the execution of test procedures and creation of test reports and test artifacts in accordance to Mil Standards/DIDs. - Experience conducting trade studies and analysis for product selection- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Experience in systems integration, verification, and test- Self-starter with a desire to solve problems- Team player with a desire to learn - The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level of clearancePreferred Qualifications- Experience working with unmanned aircraft and unmanned ground robotics systems hardware and software, to include, radio communications technologies and computer networking concepts- Experience generating TRR (Test Reediness Review) documentation to support AWR (Airworthiness Releases) - Familiarity with requirements database programs (CRADLE)- Strong analytical, problem solving, leadership skills and demonstrated ability to comprehend and work successfully with complex computer programs -Demonstrated motivation with strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments- Linux and Windows experience
