The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for Flight Operations Manager's (FOM). The FOM manages OCONUS ISR aviation flight operations functions related to planning, record management, standardization, crewmember tracking, and daily flight operation duties. All operations are to be conducted IAW the approved Flight Procedures, AR 95-20, customers service, and Government Flight Representative (GFR) directives. Leidos FOM's will manage air crew flight records and works directly with the Government Flight Representative (GFR) to verify, validate and implement government/customer compliant procedures. FOM's are responsible for DD Form 644 processing, aircraft configuration management, tracking, and coordination with Maintenance and Flight Instructors. The FOM shall serve as liaison and partner with customers regarding company flight operations matters. Travel, including CONUS/OCONUS will be required.
BA/BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be used in lieu of degree.
Manned Airborne ISR program involvement
At least one year of experience in a travel coordination type role
Must be able to meet all CRC deployment and medical requirements
Ability to work in a fast paced environment for 12 hrs. or more at a time
Analytical ability, have a positive attitude, be a self-starter and work well with others
Excellent time management skills and ability to generate and support pragmatic solutions while maintaining high quality standards
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must possess a current US passport
Must possess a valid state driver's license
Must read, write, speak and understand English
Must possess an active DOD security clearance at the SECRET level, or higher
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD TOP SECRET clearance
FAA Dispatch License
USSOCOM program involvement
Airport Operations Management experience
Former U.S. Military or US Contracting ISR Pilot experience
Active DOD security clearance at the TOP SECRET level, or higher
Ability to work and live in close proximity and austere environment with peers
Working knowledge of flight crew functions and performance of various communications equipment and allied components; in-flight / ground emergency procedures (IFE/GEs) or current ISR flying directives
