Job Description:
The NISC III program within the Leidos Civil group is seeking a Project Admnistrator to collaborate with various IT Team members and related projects and programs for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA In this role you will assist team members with day to day project activities and track activities, assist the project manager, Task order manager and other team members with documentation, status reports, and activity reports.Additionally, you will be will be responsible for all administrative efforts, working directly with the Software manager for project financials and administrative tasks.Specific duties for the position include:Action Item Tracking and ReportingOrganize and write technical documentation with guidance and input from engineersMaintain a list of resource assignments across subtasksMaintain a list of external FAA program engagements including technical and management points of contact for each engagementManage service desk queues by making initial contact with the customer, track issue aging, track issue closure, verify closure with the customerWork directly with the FAA manager and government technical interface to assign work tasks through JIRAWrite weekly and monthly status report deliverablesPrepare cost reports from JIRA timesheet and labor hour recordingPrepare job descriptions and requisition templates for new positionsMaintain a shared team calendar with staff leave and other out of office periodsDefine, build, and track major subtask project schedulesIdentify and raise issues with the customer and task order leadership that may cause project delays or cost overrunsDraft Performance Work Statement (PWS) revisions for new task orders or task order revision based upon customer Statement of Objectives or work proposalsWork with the FAA to identify new positions, staffing, and technical resource acquisition based upon new requirementsAttend regular status meetings with the team and customer representatives
Typical education and experience:Typically requires a BA degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.QualificationsCommunication skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skills.Technical writing skills and experienceAbility to work directly with customers to understand needs, requirements, and objectivesOrganization SkillsMust be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks concurrentlyMust be able to prioritize workload of the position and team members in accordance with customer directionMust have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyMust be able to work with minimal supervisionMust be able to build and track a project scheduleEnsure all work is performed in accordance with FAA orders and guidelines Desired skills Experience managing Agile projectsExperience with JIRA for issue tracking, timesheet reporting, and report generationExperience managing a team and team workloads based on resource capacity and customer prioritizationExperience with Microsoft project or another project scheduling toolPMP certification is desirable
