The job of the OCONUS Logistician is to track and maintain all data relevant to avionics government-furnished property (GFE) and ground support equipment (GSE), including (but not limited to) location tracking, international trade (ITAR) compliance codes, maintenance data, warranty data and current software load if applicable. Leidos is the Lead Systems Integrator for a manned aerial platform providing primary airframe and avionics GFE support. The selected candidate will train in Bridgewater, VA. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report data related to the previous job requirement to internal (Leidos) leadership, as well as external (government/military customer) leadership on a periodic basis or individual basis as requested.
- Have working knowledge of basic functionality and basic troubleshooting ability of major aircraft/avionics GFE components, including (but not limited to) APX-119 transponder, KIV-119 applique, ARC-210 tactical radio, PRC-117F tactical radio, ALM-288 flare test kit, flare dispensers and buckets, PRC-112 survival radio, and AN/PYQ-12 simple key loader.
- Serve as the primary accountable local representative for ensuring shipments of all program assets are done lawfully and in compliance with all international trade regulations.
- Serve as the primary accountable program property and production consumables supply chain administrator.
- Maintain 100% accountability over inventories of all program assets via either 100% annual inventory or 10% monthly inventory.
- Manage government property control and ensure consumable supplies are maintained to provide a constant support to the program.
- Maintain control of government property records and constantly monitor consumable supply usage rates and reorder trigger points.
- Update government and corporate property hand-receipts with asset location changes immediately.
- Report loss, damage or destroyed Government property (LDDR) appropriately.
- Prepare all requests, DRMO/S turn-ins and hand receipt transfers in accordance with corporate policies and governing regulations.
- Use varied approaches to resolve or collaborate on project or program issues.
- Work independently, often under high-pressure situations and with minimal direct supervision, to creatively problem-solve and quickly develop complex solutions for logistics problems in order to facilitate quick resolution.
- Facilitate cooperative interactions with site management teams intra-theatre.
- Support the program with shipping items from OCONUS to CONUS and between OCONUS locations. Receive, catalogue and inventory items from vendors, customers, additional contractors, etc.
- Continuous interaction, communication and reporting to the OCONUS Logistics Manager.
- BS degree and 6+ years of directly related logistics experience or 8 years of overall logistics experience without a degree.
- Knowledge and experience planning and coordinating commercial and military air and ground transportation.
- Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing an overall program logistics management program.
- Knowledge of logistics systems, methods and facilities management procedures. Ability to apply information technology solutions to improve or facilitate the programs overall operation.
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation.
- Exercise property management functions to include record maintenance, accountability storage and disposal functions.
- Recommend and asses procedural changes to improve the overall program accountability process.
- Oversee contracts for general supply support for procurement of office supplies, equipment and furnishings, rentals and/ or leased items.
- Implement internal control procedures to prevent fraud, waste and abuse.
- Perform supply/inventory management-program functions including, but not limited to, determination of requirements, distribution and redistribution of items, supply fund management, procurement authorization, disposition of excess property, provide reconciliation of inventory balances with physical counts and other supply functions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including (but not limited to) Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both internal to Leidos and external (military/government customer, etc), both written and oral
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent decision making ability and sound judgment with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work long hours for extended periods of time and travel in high risk environments.
- Must be a US Citizen with a current US Passport or ability to obtain one.
- Must be able to successfully complete the CONUS Replacement Center course which requires a successful deployment physical, immunizations and training.
- Be able to obtain a passport or visa to travel internationally.
- Be willing to travel for long periods of time, work long hours and / or non-regular hours with minimal notice.
- Have a minimum active Secret clearance or have the ability to earn one.
- Be willing to work in Hardship and Hazardous locations.
- Must be able to successfully accomplish the US Army CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) course, which requires a successful deployment physical, immunizations and training.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Army logistics experience at the Unit, Battalion, or Property Book level.
- Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency with Viper asset tracking/maintenance tracking database software.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in implementation of industry best practices for logistics/inventory management and compliance with contract/government requirements.
- Prior experience working with U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
- Knowledgeable of (USSOCOM) policies and procedures.
